Where I should have the baby sleep? In my room, in the same room as my 4 year old (who still needs to be rubbed to sleep every night) or in the third room?
I have a 3 bedroom house. My husband is usually home on the weekends only. My 4 year old son has his own room. Now that I am pregnant and preparing everything for the baby's arrival, I wanted to ask where I should have the baby sleep? In my room, in the same room as my 4 year old (who still needs to be rubbed to sleep every night) or in the third room?

Hello,
The safest place for babies to sleep is in their own safe cot, beside the parent’s bed for the first 6-12 months. Check the Sids and Kids website for information on this and a whole range of safe sleeping advice. http://www.sidsandkids.org/safe-sleeping/
I wouldn’t recommend your new baby and the four year old share the same room, you need to have the baby under your supervision to ensure he/she is safe, and although you may have a very gentle little four year old, he/she won’t understand that the baby is very vulnerable and needs to be handled very carefully.
Hope this helps you.
